"The IFCT is a dynamic multi-service, training, technical assistance and research-to-practice agency that believes intellect, faith, and strength-based social service delivery can and must co-exist for the benefit of children and their  families!

i

The IFCT advances a deliberate and unabashed agenda of promoting the protective factors in houses of worship for the benefit of children and their families.

i

Because research has proven that Houses of Worship (faith, religion and spirituality) greatly influence parenting norms and family formation, we believe it is imperative to integrate and promote protective factors and this approach in faith organizations.

i

THUS...Pastor, Priest, Imam, Rabbi, Bishop, Sheik, Clergywoman or Clergyman...I am asking you to help make me and my family stronger!!!"

Greetings National Child & Family Strengthening Friend and Partner...

The Institute for Clergy Training, Inc. is proud to announce and share the latest version of the "Family Strengthening Covenant." [FSC]  (see attached pdf)

The vision of the IFCT is to make America's Houses of Worship "Strengthening Families Sites;"

The mission of the IFCT is to promote optimum child and family well-being...spiritually, mentally, financially, and physically.

The core values of the IFCT are the Protective and Promotive Factors (referencewww.cssp.org)

The main goal and objective of the IFCT are to engage congregations of ALL faith-traditions throughout the world to espouse strength-based, family-centered, and locally-accessible services and principles that are not unique to the IFCT, but are wholeheartedly endorsed by the IFCT.

We seek to do this primarily by having Pastors / Faith / Spiritual Leaders understand the "Family Strengthening Covenant" [FSC] (copyrighted) which provides a framework for thinking about and engaging families in their congregations from a strengths-based manner...ultimately, we want them to sign and abide by the FSC.

By doing so, they agree to provide family-friendly and family-centered services through the many ministries of their house of worship.

Please pray about doing the following:

#1...download the covenant, click here to download the covenant

#2...review it with your congregational-leaders,

#3...sign-it if you are comfortable,

#4...email us a copy at "StrongFamilies7@gmail.com

#5...call us at 609-240-1234 for more information and/or instructions on how to make your congregation more strength-based."
